Imagined as an eternal, boundless, spiritual and mystical land, Mongolia shows dark and arcane features which make this country both fascinating and destabilizing at the same time. Rooted in an ancient history of nomadism, nowadays the process of globalization is transforming the lifestyle of its inhabitants in terms of consumption and use of the land. Traditional values are still fully present in the daily life of the Mongolian people, but they represent a faded set of symbols in which the people still recognize their cultural identity. “Diary of Erratic Days” is a visual journey into contemporary Mongolia; a travel journal which aims to evoke the faded memories of a mysterious land struggling with an uncertain future.
